About Our School

R.I. Shotokan Karate-do was founded by Shihan Christopher J. Dacey & Prof. Larry S.L. Martin back in 1997 on Elmwood Ave. on the Providence/Cranston line. We stayed there for one and a half years and moved to Park Avenue in Cranston where we stayed for three years. We then moved in 2003 and now we are at our main HQ. on Gansett Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island. We teach traditional Shotokan Karate-do, Okinawan/Hawaiian Kempo, Akikjujitsu and Kobudo ryu. Our dojo is the HQ. for Shojukempo International Martial Arts Association and other organizations.
