Why Teens Should Study Karate-do

The Ju-ryuku-uke kata's an Blocking Form were developed by Prof. Larry S.L. Martin, so students can improve there stances, blocks, kicks. all there basics are in the Ju-ryuku-uke kata an blocking form the first kata helps develop blocks / stances based on defense only, the second kata helps to develop defense and offence and the third kata develops only offence. these 3 kata will help the student in attacking! the blocking form will help the student develop a good horse stance and powerful blocking.
the Fukyu Gata were added in with Shotokan Kata because Prof. Martin beleaves that all kata came from Okinawa and they all have somthing to offer each student. training in the old ways are alot better for the student, they will understand Karate-do with an open mind! all Kata is good!
